Mediq announces intent to acquire Medguard Healthcare in Ireland

Mediq announced its intention to acquire Medguard Healthcare, an Irish supplier of medical products and services supporting acute and private hospitals, clinics and nursing homes nationwide. The contemplated transaction supports Mediq’s strategy to combine local strength with European scale to improve reliability, access and affordability of care.

Regulatory process

The intended acquisition will be notified to Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for review. Completion is subject to CCPC approval and other customary conditions. Until completion, Mediq and Medguard will continue to operate independently.
