Mediq publishes 2025 ESG Report, highlighting progress in sustainable healthcare

Mediq has published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, outlining the progress made across the organization in advancing sustainable healthcare.

The report reflects a year in which digitalization, one of Mediq’s strategic priorities, delivered tangible results. Through strengthened data capabilities and continued innovation, Mediq has improved its ESG performance while supporting more affordable and sustainable solutions for customers.

Driving impact through digitalization and data

In 2025, Mediq further developed digital platforms tailored to different customer groups, including patients, prescribers, hospitals, GPs and care institutions. These platforms simplify ordering processes, improve accessibility, and support continuity of care.

At the same time, significant progress was made in building a stronger data foundation. Through the data enrichment programme and the continued development of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), Mediq is gaining deeper insight into its environmental footprint across products and operations.

This enables more informed decision-making, both internally and for customers, who increasingly require transparent, evidence-based information on sustainability.

Expanding sustainable and affordable solutions

A key focus in 2025 was balancing affordability with sustainability. Mediq continued to expand its Care to Care selection, making it easier for customers to choose more environmentally responsible products without compromising on quality or usability.

The Mediq Own Brand portfolio also grew further, supporting cost efficiency through optimized sourcing and scale, while contributing to a more sustainable product offering.

Reducing environmental impact in operations

Mediq continued to take steps to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. Key initiatives included:

Consolidation of warehouse operations into efficient regional hubs

Increased use of renewable energy and Energy Attribute Certificates
Ongoing electrification of the vehicle fleet, with the ambition of full electrification by 2030
Implementation of advanced logistics solutions to optimize packaging and reduce waste
Strengthening of the responsible sourcing programme, ensuring alignment with sustainability and ethical standards

These actions contribute to both operational efficiency and the broader goal of reducing the environmental footprint of healthcare delivery.
